Hello! I own two axolotls, a wild type and an albino (which i'm still not sure of their genders), overnight my wild type axolotl's private region became swollen and I dont know whether it's natural or if it's sick ):

It's not red, or bleeding, it's just a little more swollen than i'm used to seeing.

I've posted some pictures of it's current situation and also of my albino to compare both cloacas.

Well from what I see you have two males that are interested in mating. From my experience the males rear will swell when they are ready or in the mood to mate. Seeing as it looks like you have two males you wont have to worry about waking up to a tank full of eggs but I would just keep a little closer eye on them to make sure the swelling doesn't continue and become abnormal especially the leopard one it looks a little odd but I don't know a whole lot I'm a newer axie owner myself.

It does appear to be slightly more bulbous than I'm used to seeing, will need some more opinions from experienced keepers.

Your wildtype looks like it may have a prolapse. It may be OK, it may get worse.

I suggest you see a vet, he could need it surgically repaired.
