Photo: My Cute Axies :D

Btw guys how often should i feed my axolotls? i got 2 of em that are maybe 6 inches each and i feed 1 bloodworm cube in the morning and 1 in the night to each of em so 4 cubes in 1 day sometimes i get 100 feeder guppies should i feed them cubes that day or until they are finished the fish or no? let me know :D:D

Looking forward to seeing the new set up piccies

In regards to feeding every other day for that size is plenty and I would say 1 cube each is fine but better still a couple of juicy worms each would be even better and a lot more nutricious for them :D

A good way of telling how well your axie is looking is to make sure their head does not get any bigger than their body, if it does then cut down on the food ;)

Also in regards to the feeder fish, make sure they are quarantined for at least 30 days before putting them into your axie tank to ensure no diseases are passed onto your axies.

I think I said this earlier in this thread... We only say these things cause we care.

By all means continue to mismatch everything people say if you feel it is better for you and your axies.

Adorable!!!! :D

Oh I got mine at Vaughn back on boxing day! They were kept in the wrong conditions though. Hopefully that has changed and they would be regularly carrying them. I know a lot of people in Toronto are interested in axolotls but are hard to find. They're amazing pets for anyone willing to devote some time to learn about them.

I'm sure the posts above has already mentioned the substrate. I got my two axolotls back in December of 2010 and they're still pooping black pebbles ... the problem is.... I don't have any black pebbles in my tank!!

I was wondering what you're feeding them. I've been having such a hard time finding live worms. My only option is buying them online!

Btw i feed them the Big Al's brand of frozen blooworms and i occasionally drop 100 feeder guppies in the tank as a treat :D:wacko:

100 feeder guppies? I hope you are over exaggerating,

They are newborn feeder guppies and i feed them like split up like over a month but i do like to spoil em :D they really love them i ussually dont get 100 tho more like 20 and w8 til they are done those til i feed them more blood worms i only got 100 guppies at once one time

Btw i think u guys just saved my axie's life cuz i found a stone inside one of my axie's poop  so i took it out and threw it out and they are slightly skinnier :D thanks guys love ya idk what would've happened if i were to keep the gravel in :violent:
