I receive her in great condition from Micheal!

She is just getting accustomed to the tank but seems to like the plants best so far! Also the food dish. :p

Not sure is she is actually a she,but maybe. If it's a boy I would love to name him Octavian, but I think it might be a girl. Having trouble thinking of girl names though! 20140320_153751[2].jpg

It sure is cute. It looks like it's saying "Why is this dish empty? Feed me!"
 
Awww it's so cute! Walking in its dish like "this be my dish. My dish. Why my dish be empty?" Hahaha :love:
 
We are looking forward to our first axolotl too! :) How about "Octavia" for a girl's name?
 
Yup....Octavia....then if "she" turns out to be a "he" you can just add the N to the name. lol.

    with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
