Well 4 of them anyway. These guys are in the for sale tank and I needed to update the pics for their add. They are all 4 months old now and about 14cm long.

Wild Type, obviously ;) but pretty none the less

Hypermelanoid (Melanoid) I LOVE these little guys, so pretty.

And what the heck is this? I'm thinking maybe Hypermelanoid Wild Type since they have the shiny gene as well as some melanin in their eyes and skin and that pretty little pattern. They were all nice and gold with VERY pale markings a few days ago and NOW they look like this. Which personally I really like.

hehehe and finally My pigeon pair.... well almost one's melanoid one's not but it's VERY tempting to keep them ;) one is pale grey with gold marks, one gold with pale grey marks

I really need to take some more of Rukmini, Hoo-Dee-Nee and 'Leopard' maybe one of these days. And poor old Fish seems to be a bit neglected in the photograph department these days :(

Let me know what you all think of them.

And if those are indeed Hypermelanoid wilds is it a bad thing that my adults produce so many hypers? or is it just another color and it will all be fine. Should I stop my adults breeding I guess is what I really want to know. Is hypermelanoidism and gene defect that should be avoided?

WOW
I think I'm officially in love with that little golden coloured one!
I love it's little patterns!

Gee I wished i lived closer to you.......I could buy one of those beautiful babies....
I just wanted to say they are sooooo cute:D
I havent seen a picture of fish for a long.....I bet he is a big boy now.

Really great little axies you have there! I'm also really loving the golden wildtype or whatever it is. Some unusual and interesting colour coming through on these.

Regards Neil

I don't know about the technical colors but I LOVE that golden one... sooo cute!!!

I think that's what we're all feeling at the moment!
Curse you for having such beautiful babies in Perth!

LOL Thanks guys I really love that little gold guy too. I wish you all lived closer too then you all could buy my babies and they would be out of my house :D and I'd know they had gone to very good homes with people who really appreciate them.

 I tried taking a few pics of fish earlier for you Lea but Fish being Fish saw the camera and went and hid in his cave  got a nice blurry shot of the last third of his tail and he swam away from me

Thats it. I'm moving to Australia.

I want that wildtype! D=

Sadly I'm in Adelaide and already have two axies and don't think I have space for a third atm :(

Ah!!! I wish we were allowed to ship between countries!

I think you mean hypomelanistic, not hypermelanoid. Hypermelanism would mean they're almost black, where hypomelanism means they're quite pale.

Regardless, they're all cute little freaks.

Hehe

Hi Mew... moving to Australia might be a not such a great idea... its much harder to get your hands on good aquarium supplies here :(. Especially where I live... stupid mean LFS's being so expensive.

Also it's been raining torrentially since yesterday (In sydney at least)
And pretty much any interesting kind of pet is illegal.

WOW  loving the national pride there people

I have no problem finding excellent aquarium equipment and reasonable prices and the weather here is beautiful most of the year.

Yes there are a LOT of exotic pets we can't own but there are just as many native animals that we can that others in other countries would KILL to have access to.

The only statement I find myself agreeing with since you started bashing our beautiful country is Mewsies. I don't think I could leave my axies behind to move overseas either.
