I had the same reaction from mine when I first tried that—totally curious but then bolted the moment it moved. They do eventually get used to it, though.

and yeah.... I’ve used a setup from www.insta360.com for my aquarium shots, and it handled low-light and water clarity surprisingly well. The camera picked up my axie's gill flicks and slow swims without scaring her, which was a big win. I did have to play around a bit with the angle to avoid light glare from the tank. Definitely worth checking out if you're into amphibian filming.
