A few weeks ago one of my females died because of spawning complications. Last night my other female was moving around and eating fine. But I woke up this morning to look at them like always and she was just white. And dead. Please help me. The only thing I did differently was use a different water conditioned. I don't want to lose anymore. Someone please help me. I have two males in there. I don't want them to die. The water, is cloudy for the first time ever. If its something with the water can I change all the water out and use a new water conditioner? Help :(

Can't really answer all the questions but,
API Stress Coat® Water Conditioner - 16 oz This is the recommended dechlorinator/conditioner
And cleaning all of the tank will get rid of the beneficial bacteria and you would have to cycle the tank again

Get an API test kit to test your water too

I have a biological filtration booster I could use. I just don't want to lose my two males that I have. Ive had them for quite a while. This is the first time ive ever had problems with any of them. Ive been on here constantly for it,

I'm sorry to hear about your second loss.

If I may ask, this second instance doesn't seem to relate to your other girl's egg trouble? It may be something completely different, and just extremely unfortunate luck.

If you're worried there's something in the water, then you can take your remaining 'Lotls out and keep them in individual plastic tubs (in case it's something infectious), changing the water with dechlorinated water daily, and scrubbing the tubs out with bicarbonate of soda and salt ever other day (not forgetting to rinse thoroughly!). Keep them somewhere cool and quiet so they can relax while you figure out what's going on with your tank.

I don't have 'Lotls yet, but that seems to be the default advice if you're concerned about matters. Hopefully someone with more experience might have better insight.

No, she wasn't spawning or anything. Last night I was feeding them and she was fine. I hand feed them so I can know who is eating and who isn't. and she was right up at the top to get food last night like always.. Im heartbroken..

I'm so sorry you lost another one :(

Do you measure the dechlorinator accurately or a liittle but extra sploosh?

It needs to be measured very accurately so that you don't under dose & leave chlorine - or overdose..

Make up some new water (measure out carefully) & set up separate the two males into 2 tubs filled with this fresh dechlorinated water. Change this water 100% daily & scrub the tubs every second day.

Definitely get a test kit & then you can try & troubleshoot the main tank for problems.

Please keep us updated
Hope your boys are ok.
