Well here is a great example as to why I shouldn't be left at home alone :D I get rather bored and today I decided hey I have the new pond for Midnight and I've finally recovered enough from Christmas shopping to have enough money for the pump for the waterfall. So After digging out the never ending hole and adding a few plants this is what i came up with. Its still got a lot more work and a need for a good clean out, some more plants and sand to line the bottom. But next week I'm hoping to get just one more axolotl. It does have a fly screen cover, that sits above the water just in case anyones wondering

Wow thats hot (Paris hilton like).

I mean it though!

:D thanks, I would love to have 3 axies out there but I think 3 would be pushing it, so just the one more :(

How deep is this pond? Looks great as long as it's deep enough to prevent it from becoming to hot during the summer months.

Its around a 80cm deep but im looking into some more ferns and so fort too provide a lot more shade

i was wrong about measurement i went to check its around 80cms

so I've got it all ready to go Midnight has moved in but im now after another but my question is how many like I was thinking just one more but our local pet shop has too and I can't decide so im wondering how many is too many?
Measurements 100cm long x 60cms widex 80cms deep ?
or
39inchs x 23inchs x 31inchs ?

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
