My dwarf axolotl Howie was attacked by tank mates. He's under high stress to the point he dropped a concerned amount of weight in just a couple days. His tail got chewed and both front arms mangled, I'm pretty confident he will lose his right arm, the other one is intact but looks like blood broken under the skin. He's never been attacked before now. As soon as I noticed I scooped him out, he's currently in a bowl in the fridge. My questions are what setting should the fridge be on? My fridge is marked 1-6 for settings. I currently have it on 2 as 4 seemed too cold. When should I attempt to feed him? He looks so boney
Should I take him out of the fridge to feed him? He usually eats chopped up earth worm, should I try something different while he heals? I'm so scared for him. He's in bad shape, although he still has some spunk, he moves when I touch him. Is bottled water safe to use? I pray he pulls through, I'd be crushed if he were to die. I'm putting him in his own tank. I never want this to happen again. How long should he remain in the fridge for? Thanx for any advice you can give me.
