My wild-type juviniles have gold sparkly gills?

Just an update on my 2 juvinile axolotl's with sparkly gills, they now have sparkly bodies ;). The photo's dont really do them any justice, i'll try get some more better photos soon.

The shiny gold gills don't seem to be that unusual in the UK. I've had many with shiny gills all from unrelated parents. The attachments I've added are of a juvenile we raised from a wild/leucistic cross, and the other is one we've had for a couple of years that came from a local pet-shop.

There was someone selling these on Ebay a couple of months ago as a 'rare new colour morph' for around £50 a pop. Even worse, people were paying it! Madness!

These guys are very sweet-looking. It looks like they've got a crown/corona/halo. Are the flecks/iridiophores appearing on them actually reflective? (Newbie question!) If they are, it must look like they've rolled in glitter!
 
My wild type has very shiny gills :) at first i thought there was something wrong then i realised it was just how it is. I wish i could get a good picture ofhisgills to show!
