Hello all,
I've had a juvenile Iranian Kaiser newt since February or March of this year. He/she certainly eats, but not near as enthusiastically as my adult cave salamanders and hasn't really grown at all. I feed with as much variety as I can including bean beetles, chopped earthworm, live tubifex, and sometimes fruit flies just to try to evoke a feeding response. Any other suggestions for terrestrial food options? Might it be better if I try keeping him/her fully aquatic? Thanks for any input!
