Need help, buy sand/gravel online.

Ok i live in a small town, petstores around me suck, i dont feel like driveing 100 miles to go to a store just to find it doesnt have the gravel i want.

Any one off the top of there head have a website with proper sand OR gravel for a axolotl. Also I DONT WANT MUD LIKE ONYX SAND. I rather have really small gravel than sand.

Forrest, gravel can cause impactions. It's not recommended.

If you have a nearby walmart or pool store (see the yellow pages), they should have coarse filter sand, which is very 'natural' looking. I rather like mine.

yeah there is a walmart 15 miles away from me, there petstore has NO sand just gravel, so i guess its in there pool section if they even have that.

just have a bare floor, thats what i have.
i love it cos its easy to clean and if the axies dont see the food or drop it u can always see it.

I used to use 4mm black gravel - and I never realised how MUCH Spyyk actually ate.

It's only when I recently swapped to sand that his system cleared of it all.

I don't reccommend gravel at ALL.

Sand is easy to clean, keep clean and set up.
1cm does the job very nicely, and has the added bonus that you can see what they've been up to overnight - footprints all over!

well i broke down and ordered Tahitian moon sand, hopefully it doesnt have the consistancy of mud like onyx sand. I really didnt want a white sand or grey so i will try this.

Sensible.
I use sandpit sand - well cleaned.

I find it to be nice and light, and easy to clean
