Need help with Leopard Geckos.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to know if I could feed my leopard gecko earthworms/nightcrawlers?

You can, but they aren't very suitable and would probably just give the Leopard gecko runny faeces. I'd stick to mealworms and crickets.

I've fed them to my geckos as treat with no ill effects but then again they were offered as treats and not a staple diet.

This would be fine. Earthworms are not toxic. The only problem would be that sand and gravel from the tank will stick to the worms. When your gecko swallows the worm it will also injest the sand and gravel. A serious intestinal impaction could happen!! Just feed the worms to your gecko outside the tank on a paper towl or on a clean table.

Mabey my UK geckos aren't as tough as your American Geckos. I've tried it with mine but they didn't digest them very well. Might just depend on the Gecko.

I have to add I never fed mine earthworms as the main part of their diet. And I never would. Crickets and superworm made up over 90% of their diet. The rest was collected insects and a small earthworm here and there when I was out of other food items. It was just something to hold them over until I got some crickets.
