I've got a juvenile axie in a 10 gallon tank. Ph was getting above the 8.0 range so I added some API Proper PH to drop it down to 7.0. Ever since adding it the tank is super cloudy. I know the hard water can affect the cloudiness (as per the direction label) but I'm not sure if this is good for Axel. Should I do an emergency water change? If so how much? ANY advice would be greatly appreciated. I'm kind of freaking out a bit here. He's my 1st and only axolotl and I'm kind of new to them also.

Thanks

I have very hard water in my area and use SeaChem Regulator to help drop the pH. It also detoxifies ammonia and gets rid of chlorine and chloramine, I would highly recommend it.

What are your water parameters? Ammonia, Nitrites, Nitrates?
pH isnt as critical as good water chemistry. They generally like the water to be a little higher anyway. Generally my tanks sit around 7.8 and they're happy campers.

You should use dried indian almond leaves to lower the ph in the future. It is natural and gives off a somewhat pleasing natural look with the leaf litters.
