Are there any hiding places? And does that filter output spray directly into the tank? This could cause too much current and stress the animal. Otherwise I think it looks lovely!
yes, u cannot see it in the picture but there is a log which she spends alot of time in, she usually stays away from the outlett but im looking into a spray bar
yeah im havin trouble keepin the temperature down its almost summer over here in australia an its at 23, ive been using freezer blocks but it only keeps it cool for a while, im gunna try fans next....
nah her gils are pushed right back, and thats not an accurate way to determine stress, its the tail being bent, and hers is not bent, but eitherv way her gils arnt pushed forward, that filter duznt put out much power neway...
my guys never showed any signs of stress when i had a powerhead filter.
However after i had changed to an external cannister filter with spray bar they have stopped hiding all day and are about 600% more active.
So morale of this story is: even if the animal is not stressed this dosn't mean the current is not to high.
I once made a sprey bar out of 16mm electrical conduit for a similar filter to yours, i would recommend doing something like that to baffle the output. your axie will thank you.
I don't mean to sound over critical or anything, just trying to help you learn from my previous mistakes.
