New Axolotl

Hey guys, i have 2 new Albino axolotls.

Thinking about getting a filter, have tryed a couple only stress them out.

Anyways, my axolotls names are Tlalok and Xochiquetzel.

Ill put up pictures soon. Any advise for a newbie":?

Hi Mitcg,

Axolotls are messy little grots so getting a filter is a good move.

Axolotls prefer still water and any water movement at all can stress them and make them sick.

To break the flow you will need to either afix a spray bar or place an obstruction in front of the flow to dissipate the current so it does not bother the axolotls. Some filters also have an adjustable outtake and you can turn the outtake nozzle to direct the flow towards the tank wall.
