Hello all, I am finishing up my degree in Biology at Kent State University and have some strange passion for salamanders. It probably came from the fist time I picked up an adorable eastern red-backed out in the field for a lab. I don't know whether or not I'll ever be able to work with them for "real" but they are fun to research and own. Not to mention how fun they are to draw :p

Welcome to the forum! Some would call it a a strange passion, I call it a perfectly normal obsession.

Welcome!
Indeed it is a normal obsession!

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
