Hey Joan, I ordered the 75 Gallon one from bigalsonline about two days ago lol. It should be here in about a week or two I am so excited to get it!

It's just a resun magi jet, they are only about $20, cheap as chips as I said. Probably rubbish I just like the whole spray bar thing being on them. I have not seen that before other than on a canister filter. If it's rubbish then it doesn't matter for that price. Will see how it goes. I couldn't believe when I found that website also www.equarium.com.au I use sometimes, depends on what I need. The pet stores are absolute rip offs!! The differences in price for the exact same product is crazy. My goldfish filter media is around $8 for a carbon bag at a certain pet store in Joondalup, this place has them for $2.30!! The filter would probably be $50 in a pet store anyway. My hang on one for the fish tank cost close to $100 and I have seen it on those sites for $55.
I have learnt my lesson, I only go to the pet stores to buy crickets and frozen foods now.

Rheann, I imagine the media basket will be bigger in the 75 gal one, but I had to modify my filter order. I put the biological 'rings' they send in the bottom of the filter itself, below the basket. Then the coarse then fine filter pads, and the charcoal on top. This is definately not what they recommend, but the basket's pretty small. Also, they send a bag of charcoal that doesn't last long, but there's no way to refill it. So I took a pair of pantyhose and put charcoal in them and tied it off. Works great!

How often do I replace the Cermamic rings? I bet this filter is going to be noisey too, lol!

The best part about the filter is that it's practically silent! I can't hear the filter over the sound of the running water in the tank across the room! And if you put your spraybar right at the surface of the water, you don't even hear running water from it. It's great!
You never replace the ceramic rings, as these are where your good bacteria are going to grow.
The directions on priming were a little wonky. So what I did was fill up the filter basket itself, then close it. THEN fill the intake hose (they give you a little funnel, if you've got a bigger one, I'd use it), otherwise you have to fill the filter through the funnel and it takes forever!

yea i can't wait, i don't want six, i want 1 at first. Then i'll get one the opposite sex, and breed them and probably only keep 1-2 babies. I know that might sound bad but its all i could possibly have room for at first. If i end up breeding, the tanks will end up being not real fish tank, but like big tubs and stuff. Maybe if i go the tub route i could eventually have 6.
