I will be introducing 2 new axolotls to the family soon. I am pretty confident that I have everything set up properly, but I have a question about using well water. We are on a well system and we add Morton's salt (green rust-reducer bags) to the water softener. Is it ok to use our well water or should I use bottled/city water? Thanks for your help and I'm excited about this new venture!

Well water is fine. If you have a bypass to your water softener, I always mixed mine 2:1, softened water to bypassed water. I never had a problem. City water is often chlorinated, and needs to be treated to remove the chlorine. Bottled water is often distilled, and can lead to ion loss. Go with the well water.

Thank you so much. I was stressing over that a bit! I will take your advice...
