Hello all! I am new to this site. My husband and oldest son have started a terrarium. It started off with two creek frogs, and one passed away about a month ago. We now have one creek frog that we believe is a bull frog who is still quite small. We also have a paddle tail salamander, fire belly newt, two golden claw crabs and a red rock crab. Everyone gets along amazingly enough. There is only one problem and that is with our paddle tail, but I will post that in another section. I can't wiat to dive in and learn more about everyone and their newts and salamanders!

Firstly, I'd like to welcome you to the forum!

Now, although it seems like all of these animals are getting along, it is a real recipe for disaster. Mixing species is a terrible idea, often compromising the health of the animals being put together, especially for newts and salamanders. This case is a disaster in particular, as paddle tail newts are known to be especially aggressive. Please read this article-http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/Mixing_disasters.shtml

Good Luck!

Edit: Just read your other post and have seen that others have already explained to you the problems with your tank set up. I hope you enjoy the forum, and feel free to post any questions!
