New tank and 2 axies

hi we have just bought 2 axies these arnt our first but this time we will learn as much as we can about them we live in west australia and have all kinds of tanks from gold fish to sea horses and octopus but now we are back to axies can you tell me is sand the best kins of bottom cover and what kind of sand can you just use beach sand that has been washed very well heres a pic of our guys cheers paul

you can get play sand, but i don't think you should get sand from a beach because of bad bacteria or other harmful things. I also assume that your tank was cycled before the addition of the axolotls, correct?

    Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

    Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
