And, I stopped the tidying / sorting in my lounge to work on the tanks, so I reckon the mess around is too, LoL

Congratulations on all your hard work, you must have arms like big muscly arms?? My tank didnt quite turn out as I planned, after cleaning all the glue off the glass and cleaning inside and out several times I have ended up with a milky residue which appears to be in the glass. It is down the filter side and right across the back. I am wondering if it is a calcium build up, or something, I think maybe the tank was used as a marine tank, so it could be a salt thing? Anyway will have to either put a backing picture right across or a moss wall which would look better, but as you say it is so very expensive. But anyway, keep up the good work and do you hire yourself out for tank cleaning?? ; )

Eeeek - it's taken me long enough to do mine, but I am rather stubborn
Hopefully the other will clean up just as nicely, then the "waterproof" looking parts won't be noticeable when filled up. Might need to get myself some axie friendly lighting too, since my 3ft tanks are (+ my 4ft tanks will be) completely out of direct sunlight - completely sheltered along the back + left side by wall, then sheltered on the right side by the T.V. they get rather difficult to see into in the evenings / at night - no doubt the axies appreciate it though

Mine is in a dark kitchen against the far wall, the light doesnt work, but will get one so my plants will survive, but was thinking of the LED setups that others have shown, to put on in the evenings, a little axie disco setup, maybe with a disco ball?
