Hello everyone! :) My names Christopher, I'm a 21 year old musician from Massachusetts interested in becoming a herptologist/wildlife biologist one day. I earn my money managing a restaurant and I spend most of my spare time making music. I am currently interested in the raising reptiles and amphibians and would like to continue gathering different animal species. I currently own 2 fire bellied newts, an 8 year old Ball Python and 2 different dogs. I am intending on purchasing a White's Tree Frog next. I would also like to get some more newts in the future, possibly breed them as not many pet stores around where I am have available newts. Any information on Newts, Schooling and anything really would be appreciated :) Thanks and have a wonderful day!

Welcome to the forum, Christopher! You'll find lots of information on all of the above here. I suggest hanging around in the chat room and asking questions. Folks there are awesome!

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
