My axolotle seems to be loosing his feathering around his gills and is shedding and not eating. he also has a dirty bottom. can anyone help

Can you post a photo of your axie and the water readings?

If the "dirty bottom" looks like dirt stuck on it, it could be a sign of bacterial or parasitic infection and will need a vet.

The filaments (feathery bits) are the first to go when an axolotl is ill healthier. Was your tank cycled?

Water readings and photo is a must.
