New Vivarium

I'm just now getting into this hobby and I would like to know anything a new beginner would want to know. I'm not sure what species I want yet but I think I would like the tank to be semi-terrestrial, if that's not too much work . I'm not really sure how to go about it. I want this tank to look real good because it will probably be the only one that I can have right now, so any tips are welcome.

It's helpful to look at lots of photos of other people's enclosures and decide what you like and materials you like to work with. The places to look are:

Before you make any final decisions about what kind of setup to make, you should figure out what species you'd like to keep (and are able to find). Some of the details may depend on the exactly species, and also on the age of the animals you will get.
