Hello!

Just wondering how long it takes for a newt juvenile to grow into an adult newt???

Thanks for everyone's help with all of my questions, lately!

I think it depends on the species and quantity of food. CB babies mature earlier than wild ones because food is more plentiful.

Hi shop worn angel, I believe it takes a few years to reach adulthood. I am not sure if it depends on the species and the food it's being fed.

I believe that SWAngel is raising Chinese firebellies. In captivity they could be adults, or nearly so, in about 2 years. Some might get there in one year if they get really optimal conditions.

Oh! I didn't really have a good understanding around that. That is helpful. Thank-you. In this juvenile stage, then, will my Chinese Firebellies remain mostly terrestrial? Again, my tank is set up for a semi-aquatic-shallow water and a large land mass ( it takes up most of the tank).
