Hey there,

I've been growing concerned because my axie is growing rather skinny, he hasn't eaten in at least a week.

He's never been much of a big eater. He only typically eats once every few days, I feed him pellets (and the very occasional worm, I'm going to try one of those later on to see if he'll eat it.)

I did a major tank cleaning not long ago but it didn't seem to effect him. He still ate after that, and the water is fine now. In fact, I never saw a poo after the last time he ate, which is somewhat concerning!

While he hasn't been floating or giving me reason to suspect constipation, I think his cloaca may be a little swollen (it's a bit hard to tell.) If anyone could offer advice I'd be really grateful.

Extra info: There was a bit of a heat rise over the last two days but his tank temperature is okay now. He still won't eat!

How old/big is your axie? Before and after pictures would be helpful. Also, what are your water parameters, and temperature of the water? If the temperature of its water rose over its comfort level, it probably wouldn't be too interested in food and would appear visibly stressed. It could be that your parameters are off, due to the deep clean, uneaten pellets etc.
