Hi guys and girls
Has anyone or does anyone feed North Fin Carnivore Pellets to their Axolotl?
Thinking of trying some

I just got some! Fed them to my buddy today.
Some things to note- they are BIG. There might be some smaller size options and if there are I say go for the smallest. These def would not be suitable for young axies. They are also quite dry. I put three pellets in some filtered water for a couple of minutes. I split one pellet up (might be able to do this with a pill cutter (dedicated to the purpose!) when they are dry) but gave her the rest whole. They are definitely a mouthful so I think I'm going to get a pill cutter. Will let you know how she does on them.

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
