Not sure if I’m being paranoid... White on tail?

My axolotl Oaki has always had a white spot on his tail, but now it seems to be getting bigger and his tail is kind of translucent. His water parameters are normal, except for a slight increase in temperature (which I regulate by opening windows a crack at night and having an aquarium fan on all day. He also is very active during the night, but he’s always been like this. What do you guys think? Should I be worried, or is he just losing pigments? I know axies can lose some color when they get older, but he’s not even a year yet. Any help would be appreciated!

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
