Can anyone please tell me what this is??????

I have had my axie's 4 months now & have never seen these b4, i now keep finding them in both my tank's.......Is it Axie poo????
i ask this as when i was doing spot cleaning i tried to suck it up & the sack that it is in stays in tacked but the contence get sucked up the turkey baster??????????
When i had got it all a small stone was left ( we change to sand as soon as i had them )

I know i may have answered my own Question but would still like to be reassured

What are you feeding your axies?

It could be poo. It tends to take on the color of what you're feeding.

Could you get a photo of it all complete with sac etc? My adults used to occasionally add some interesting things to their sand...I suspected it was far less interesting than this as it was odd coloured bits of gravel etc.

Looks like pooh to me,

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
