My juveniles are wildtypes and occasionally, when the lights are off for an extended time, they get very light and almost transparent. I like it when they first hatch and you can see all their parts: Brain, optic nerve, internal organs. Axolotls are awesome.
I found that my juvies 'hangout' more than the adults, but they still do it too. Usually they'll rest one foot on a plant and the rest of them is hanging out. It looks like they're jumping out of a plane or something.
