Hi All,
we found these 2 cuties and couldn't resist (lucky we now have 4 tanks to cope with our 15 axies!) They have absolutely gorgeous colours. Their names are Colonel Mustard and Caramello :D

The one you have in your avatar has lovely gills :)

They are adorable! I would have fallen for them too!

The one on the left looks to be a bit yellow? - I think that's called copper - looking forward to more pics of your crew! :D

Very cute. I like the colors a lot! Not your average wild type color. I look forward to seeing them as they grow as well!

We have a copper one which is kind of yellowy - tan. This one is really a mixture of .
mustard and olive.

Eric - we have 5 feet, 4 feet, 3 feet and 2 feet - a couple of them are wider than normal too, you know, like turtle tanks.

Hi Eric,
we have had one batch so far (leucistics/albinos with the amazing gills), with about 60 going to good homes. We have kept 7. Hoping it happens again this year, we will try for a different mixture of colours ;)

wow they are very cute........

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
