Ozarks & Ouachita Mountains - Spring 2009 - WARNING HEAVY IMAGES

Ah.... so this is the project you wanted illustration for... Looks like you did an ok job on your own...
are the species illustrations from your own photos? or are they copied from a field-guide?

Great photos as always... impeccable.

They are my own photos. I don't lift things from other sources unless it's public domain or with permission (and I would credit accordingly).

fantastic images.

looks like a more than successful day/hike.

thanks for sharing.

John,

I just finally had time to give this post a proper look. What an impressive layout of maps, species, and photos. Great work. I know this type of thing takes lots of time.....it was well worth your effort.

This is amazing and thank you for sharing your finds. I agree you should do a book or charge us lots of money to hire you as a guide. You are truly gifted!!!

Thank you very much - I had a lot of help and tips though (Nate Nelson in particular deserves a lot of credit).

WOW, what an awesome post, John. I know you told me it was a good trip but the pictures are proof. That Coal Skink is awesome looking and quite different looking then the few I have seen here in extreme eastern Texas. I guess it's gonna be awhile but let me know the next time you return to Nac.

Later, Scott

Thanks Scott, will do.

All amazing pictures but gotta love the dusky Salamander

WOW! Nice pictures!!! Never been east of Colorado but it might be time to make the trip. I never knew there was so much beauty over there.

amazing reporting, pictures, and information. Thank you for the incredible post.

Incredible photos. I absolutely love the cave salamander. Great job! May I ask what camera you use?

Thanks. These were all photographed with a Nikon D90.
