Pale gills

Sounds like it might be time to head back to the tank. Has Totosha been eating while in the fridge?

No, I didn't feed him, but he seems active and I guess he would be happy to eat something up :p Will see tomorrow in the tank :)

That might be partially why he hasn't pooped. Food is needed to make poop. Good luck!

Hi.
I put Totosha back into the tank this morning. He (or may be she, actually :) ) is still fat and walks heavily, does not swim, but walks a lot. He is, I'd say, very active, may be because he can feel stuff inside his belly. I am very worried. Kokosha swims around him as if he wanted to help :( ...
I don't think I should feed him (although he has been in the fridge for a week). How do you think? Or shall I check his appetite?
I assume stones are a bit too big to pass, but Kokosha threw up such a stone, so Totosha should probably be able to as well. But I am not sure ... He does not have gills forward or curled tail, just is active and heavy :(
Here is a youtube link, you can see him:

He is the grey one :)

He's probably pretty hungry if he's been in the fridge without food for a while. I would offer him something to see if he's hungry. Kind of looks like a girl to me actually, though little hard to tell...could be lumps I see...

Just cause one of your axies threw up a stone doesn't mean the other one will...do you know how big the stone is? Can you feel it in his belly? Hopefully Totosha can poop it out, it may just be a case of wait and see. Glad you've got them on a finer substrate now. They are very pretty :D

Hehe, thanks
I will offer her some food, but when I try to touch her, like grab to feel the stones, she swims away. Can I grab her a bit harder? She's so delicate ...
Can she be pregnant?:D
The stone should be 1cm or a bit under, but not round, so ... max 1cm in one dimension. But it looks like a stone inside, yes?:(

And yes, she ate a small bit of a prawn, so the appetite is ok. ... just fat and no swimming :(

I wouldn't recommend grabbing onto her. When I brought one of my axies home from the pet store and she had ingested gravel I put her in the fridge to clear the impaction. In her fridge tub she would let me gently feel her underside where I could feel the stones, probably because she was in the colder water and feeling slow and sluggish. If your lotl is swimming away and not letting you then don't force her.

She could have produced eggs and be retaining them, which is another reason she might look swollen. If you can get a good picture of her back leg area we could probably determine for sure if your axie is a 'he' or a 'she'. From the video your leucistic looks like a boy.

The enlargement is mainly near the head, like chest area. She does not touch the ground with her cloaca any more (like sitting), but is sort of laying with her full body on the ground. Will see if I can feel stones when I do the cleaning later today.

And she does not move :( just breathing ... am worried.
