Pale patch on gills.

Its like the title says, my female axie has a pale patch on her gills (she's Leucistic) and her gills are a bright pink/red when she's awake but one of them has a small milky patch on it.
It doesn't looks like fungus, but still, I'd like to know what's wrong.
Also she's been n the quiet side, still eating well, but hiding a lot.

Also that gill stack has had spots of blood on it and looks slightly raggy, but no fungus.
That's my update.

Can you take a picture of the gill?
What is the water quality like?
Are you keeping her alone in the aquarium?

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
