Yesterday evening I saw the first successfull mating of this season!
5 sperms by the male, 2 on the "right place" off the female.
Then biting (see photo) - for half an hour in this position.

Last week I got some logies (Parmesotriton Laoensis)for the wintermonths,they coming from you Paul.
Nice little ones and they walking around during the day(and eating),really great!

Hi Petro,
it's interesting with this little guys!
Wenn they come into a new set up, they often walk around. Later they are more hidden.
But on some days - sometimes when I open the window - most of them also walk around.

In the meantime the female laid app. 50 fertile eggs and is still doing!
But the male is courting like crazy and sometimes successfull mating!
Usualy then the male bites the female near to where the sperm was take of, but yesterday I saw this.

Amazing journal, very inspiring. I'm also very intrigued about this theory of infertility within F2 generations and the tactics with which it will take to remedy the situation.

Looks like your colony is going to easily establish this species within the caudate scene.

@Marco, nothing easy in breeding laoensis!

An other thing!
Many enthusiasts living in USA and Canada asked me to get some of my laoensis breeding!
I would like to give them to America but notice - I don't make illegale sending and I don't know a legal way!
So, sorry but not possible :-(
