Hello im Ray from Adelaide, Australia and i just love this site.I would like to know if instead of using gravel, which i have realized the stuff im using is too small from using the knowledge from this site , can i use pebbles to cover the bottom of my tank? The pebbles i have range from 30 to 50mm in size. or will their little legs get stuck in the gaps?

Pebbles are ridiculously hard to clean. Crud and poo-dust gets trapped in them, and can cause water to foul. Your best bet is to go with either a bare-bottomed tank, or a thin layer of fine sand.
