After seeing another members "peekaboo" picture, I'm keen to see everyone elses' silly lotls in their hides being super cute (or super creepy, like mine.. But still cute). I know every person has experienced the 'randomly look at tank and make eye contact with their axolotl poking it's head out of somewhere' and would love to see more :D so please upload your pictures of your babies!

Morrison, if only I was able to like those pictures more than once! Looks like you have very silly lotls on your hands that third one cracked me up. Thank you for making my day start off on a great foot . I can't imagine giving those babies up... my heart goes out to you, however I wish you a speedy recovery :)

Yeah, I miss those cuties :) But hopefully one day I have the right things to keep them properly :)

with axolotls would I basically have to keep buying and buying new axolotls to prevent inbred breeding which costs a lot of money??

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
