What is a comfortable pH for axolotls?

For axolotls a little above neutral is best
so around 7.1-7.5
they can go well in neutral(7) water but don't let it drop below that.

For axolotls, a pH of 6.5 to around 8.0 is acceptable, but 7.4 to 7.6 is probably ideal. pH can affect the toxicity of ammonia...

Keep the pH between about 6.5 and 8. If pH is at the high end of this range, monitor ammonia carefully because its toxicity will be greater than at neutral pH.
