Pics of new tennants...Siren intermedia

Pioneer - you just sold 4 sirens on Reptibid for $53. I hardly call this a "hobby" price.

Also, you recently sold adult Notophthalmus newts, claiming they were all captive born. I know personally how hard it is to raise Notophthalmus and there is no way they were captive born!

You also have closed auctions in which you sold (or tried to sell): bullfrogs, anoles, mudturtle, musk turtle, box turtles, "ground snake", fence lizards, skinks, minnows, catfish... All the reptiles and amphibians claim to be "captive born". Ha!

If it's a hobby, it's clearly being done to make money. Many of us hate the practice of making money from selling local wildlife. That is clearly what you are doing.

mr. masey i understand the fact that it may have been a joke but i was not presented as such. Im not defending mr.masey but when you think about it we eat cown sheep and other animals, yet there are ppl that keep them as pets. and they are kept in crampet minimal conditions, because they are there for that purpose, true they are bred and we arent taking anything from the wild. It is in this aspect that baffles me. Why are you taking animals from the wild. tHey are endangered or will be if people like you persist to hunt them for food. There are comercialy bred foods for pets live and not live. THough i said that im not going to take sides im going to side with jennewtand the others, i think you should be banned.

Thank you all for some interesting ideas on feeding the Lesser Siren.
My husband and I were Beaver hunting last night and we spooked a Great blue heron off the road.
He left behind a lesser siren.
Fist real one I have ever seen. He was injured so We brought to our Pond. I want to make sure he gets what he needs. He seems to be ok but I haven’t really seen him. I just know he hasn’t floated to the top.
I have some newts in there but I didn’t really want them eaten.
He is about 13 inches long and lively
Thanks for all your help.
