Hi everyone! My almost 1 year old Axolotl Peanut recently moved from a 20 gal tank to a 40! She loves her new home so far. I noticed this morning when I went to check on her before work that get gills were completely white. I know they sometimes turn white when their sleeping, due to lack of activity. My boyfriend sent me a picture of her thus afternoon that shows she had white stuff on her gills. I did a water partial water change on the weekend and she’s due for another on Sunday. She’s acting like she normally would and her appetite has not changed at all. I’ve attached a photo. What can I do for my sweet Peanut that doesn’t involve salt baths?

Just tested my water and my ammonia is at 1ppm. Doing a water change right now to see if that’ll help. I guess no one has any other advise. Oh she’s floating now too. Hope she’s okay.

Hi, tub her and change 100% of the water daily (don't forget to wipe and rinse the tub out), you can also give her 3 tea baths a day.
