I have no idea what to try first.. this is my first sick axolotl and it happens to be a baby, he's only about 4" long. he normally has a good appetite and swims around fine however he has never really put on weight (I've been feeding him tiny pieces of earth worms, i must admit i haven't been feeding him daily but every couple days because of personal problems that developed). this week i noticed he has a fungal infection and he refuses to eat at all, i tried going back to bloodworms which he is very interested in but once he gets it in his mouth he spits it out. when he swims to the top he's very weak and almost falls back. am i too late? i feel so bad for this little guy and i really want him to get better!!

hi :)

I'm sorry to hear that he isn't doing well. You definitely need to feed juveniles twice daily in order for them to achieve good growth and health.
Can you post pics of what he looks like?
If it is definitely fungus, I suggest dissolving 1 teaspoon plain sea salt per gallon water.... Separate him into a sick tub, do 100% water changes daily and use this water mixture 24/7. Hopefully he will start to show improvement :-/
If he doesn't, it might be too late at this point. But we will think positive.
Keep him cool, but I wouldn't fridge him. Keep offering him his favorite foods.
