Poorly Axie??

I'm uploading this on behalf of a friend.

They recently acquired Ronnie who has very recently started having runny poos , seems very pale and is also losing substantial feathering from his gills. The pet shop they bought him from suggested he might be morphing but I very much doubt this. Any input would be much appreciated.

We can't really help without information.

What are the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels? What is the water temperature? What are they feeding him and how often? Did they cycle the aquarium properly before putting him in the tank?

His tank SHOULD be:
AMMONIA: 0ppm
NITRITES: 0ppm
NITRATES: Less than 20ppm
TEMPERATURE: Between 16 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius.
FOOD: IF HE IS A JUVENILE - frozen blood worms, axolotl pellets, chopped up and rinsed krill, frozen brine shrimp. (Juveniles should be fed 2-3 times a day.)
IF HE IS AN ADULT: Chopped up night crawlers (earthworms,) axolotl pellets. (Adults can be fed every other day to every three days, depending on the water temperature and how hungry he is.) Feed until he doesn't want anymore and then stop. The belly should be as wide as the head.

The water parameters need to be tested with liquid tests, as the strip tests are not accurate. If his tank is not cycled, they will need to do daily large water changes with dechlorinated water until it finished cycling.

One axolotl needs at least a 20 gallon long aquarium and a filter that turns over the entire volume at least 4x in one hour.

The tank is currently reading:

Ammonia - 0.25
Nitrites & Nitrates reading normal
Temp at 16.5

He's approx 8 months old and has been eating pellets, frozen bloodworms, cooked prawn (not recently) between once a day and once every other day. He hasn't eaten since Thursday.

All water has been cycled and changed recently, ammonia has been showing high recently so more changes have been done.

He's in about 10L of water
