Possibly fungus?

Hi guys,

Just wanted to double check before I put both Toothless and myself through the stress of removing her from the tank and giving her salt baths.

Do we think this white patch on her gills is fungus? She's been eating very little the last couple of days, I thought she'd maybe just gotten big enough that she only needed feeding every other day. If it is I presume salt baths is the best course of action. Do I need to do anything to the tank while she's in quarantine to protect her sister? They share a 3ft tank but there's a divider between them, Tooth has gone after Astrid a few times. The tank is still cycling so they get a daily 30% water change, should I up this?

Off to empty out some old boxes that will hopefully be big enough to quarantine her!

Many thanks in advance for any and all help.
Jo

I'm not 100% sure as the picture doesn't show properly on my computer but from what I can see it does look fungusy - probably as a result of injury if they have been snapping at each other.

Salt baths are usually the prescribed course of action.

Just monitor her tank mate for any signs of fungus, do a water change and trust in the magical healing properties.

If the attacks persist I would consider separating them.

Thanks CJ, they've been separated for at least a month already so don't think it's a nipping injury. Never mind, she's in a box of her own and coped well with her first salt bath so fingers crossed.
