Hi
I got some baby axies from my local pet store last week i got a albino one and a brown/black one
they must have only been a few days old when i got them but they were happy and healthy,
they were doing fine but all of a sudden my brown one was hunch backed and when he went to swim
he was swimming in circles and he was also very lathargic just sitting at the bottom of the tank sadley this one died but my albino one was still ok untill now he seems to have the same problem does any on know what the problem is ???

A 'few day old' axolotls are only a centimeter long.

What are your water parameters, namely ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and temperature? What are you feeding? Do you have a filter on the tank? What kind? What is your substrate?

Did you cycle your tank before buying them? see: http://www.caudata.org/cc/articles/shipping.shtml

If not, have you done a waterchange at all on the tank? If not, you need to get the tankwater tested for the things Kaysie mentioned, and also do a partial waterchange (at least 20%) every day or every two days to remove any toxins that may be building up in the water (which is normal in a newly cycling tank - you just need to test daily and do the partial waterchanges if ammonia/nitrite levels are above 0 ).
