I've had my 2 Eastern Tigers in a 55 gallon aquarium with 4-5" of soil as a substrate. They have both built tunnels and I haven't seen them on the surface yet. I have a small low dish with cut up earthworms and a few meal worms in it. I have not noticed anything missing yet. Should I attempt to dig them up and feed them? The temperature is about 68F and I am not using any additional lighting.

I'm not sure if I'm right in saying this, but I dug up Pirate to feed him, and he caught on pretty quickly, and stayed on the surface

Thats what i did too. They didnt particularly enjoy it but within 2 or 3 weeks they were either either on the surface or their head was sticking out their burrow and i havent had to dig them up since.

Re: Question about feeding tigers Update

My two tigers have been eating earthworms. They hide under the water dish in their tank. i lift it up and put a couple earthworms in and have finally witnessed them eating.
