Jess dies 29/1/08.
There were no signs that i could notice apart from trying to swim out of the top of the tank.
I had her for nearly 4 months.
I will replace her with another one with the same coloration sometime when i get another tank.
She was buried in my garden.

Hi Mitchell,

Oh no, that is a shame. I hope you find out what went wrong (water parameters?).

I am sorry for your loss.

Mitchell...

I am so sorry to hear about Jess... I lost my axie Pedro today too so i know exactly how you're feeling. (He's also buried in my garden).

The only thing i can think of as a cause could be the heat. I know poor Pedro's tank heated up in this weather (i see you're from Melbourne too)....

My condolences...

Kate

Im sorry to here that both of your axolotls have died but mitchell your wild type axolotl looks fine in the photos so canot figger out why he died unless its some thing due to the water in the tank, Its horrible lossing an animal specialy when you are so close to them like my self i lost a juvi axi about a year ago, i rescued him from a pet shop he wasnt looking very well in the shop and had a couple of legs missing so i bought him home to try and get him better and he died after a few days its so upsetting so i know how you both feal.

I'm very sorry to hear about Pedro aswell.
We've never had heat like this in ages!
Three 40degree days in a row.
I hope no one else has lost or looses another axolotl anytime soon.
