Raising ADF tadpoles

I am a noob to this hobby, having recently switch from fresh and salt fish. What does ADF stand for?

These guys are 33 days old today. The largest has front legs coming in.

WOA! Didn't know they looked like that! A bit of an odd face, but a cool and cute one!

I took the magnifier and looked at a bunch more of them. Most have front legs started - just not as noticeable as on the largest one.

Another update: 40 days old. That face has gotten a lot cuter! And I love those webbed feet!

Another update - 55 days old

They're eating live blackworms and looking pretty darn cute. Today I gave these 11 froglets back to the friend who gave me the eggs to raise. I kept 6 for myself.

Thanks for sharing. ADF's are the best. I have always wanted to breed them. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that they are technically extinct since they do not exist outside of captivity so I think all ADF are CB.

Will the adults eat black worms indefinitely or will they get switched to something else later?

Thanks! I have a second batch growing out now. So far I have a much better survival rate with this second batch.

I've never kept adults, but my understanding is that they can stay on blackworms. The friend I got the eggs from told me she feeds her adults pellets made for frogs.

I would love to raise adf if you would walk me through it, Not yet of course but It would be a valuable experience
