About how long does it take for an amputated leg to grow back?
After having no sight of him for nearly three weeks, I dug up one of my sals to discover that he was not only hungry, but dragging his right rear leg. My mom (a vet tech
) amputated a very infected, broken leg the next day. She also had enough antibiotic for five injections. We left the wound open, and he began eating the next morning.
Surgery was nearly two months ago, and I have yet to see a change in the area apart from the wound closing up, and pink color receding. Is there a way to know if the leg is going to grow back? I was planning to keep him in solitary confinement until the leg came back.
