Re: Read before posting

Hello everyone, my name is Martin Ashcroft I live in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Uk. I've just joined and am looking forward to sharing our interests. I keep newts , alpine, marbled, banded ect. When I say keep that's not exactly true, they live in and around my garden, which I have supplied them with two ponds (500,750 litres ),to which they come back to breed in spring. Another of my fascination 's is chameleons, for which I visited Madagascar some years ago. Looking forward to any messages. Martin

Not necessarily but if you’re wanting to continue to grow your breeding capacity then yes. Breeding axolotls isn’t a cheap hobby nor is it a get rich quick scheme. It costs a lot of money and time and deditcation

Would Chinese fire belly newts be more or less inclined towards an aquatic eft set up versus Japanese . I'm raising them and have abandoned the terrarium at about 5 months old and switched to the aquatic setups you describe. I'm wondering if I could do this as soon as they morph?
