I posted on reddit about my issue and I still cannot find answer please help me. I’ve been having to quarantine him away from the tank with fresh water so many times it’s stressful for cupcake and me. Please help me so these current infections do not keep coming back. The tip of his gills always tend to get struck with white fungus first and it comes back on the same part to destroy that part of his gill filament. He has a chiller but since he’s in quarantine he’s not using it but his water is below 70 because of air conditioning. At least his gills look great… despite these recurring issues. 75 gallon 😭

always use 50% holtfreters + 0.1g/l magnesium sulphate in a tank that houses an axolotl (if the ingredients aren't available use 2g/l non-iodised salt until ingredients can be procured) Axolotls - Requirements & Water Conditions in Captivity if issues are very bad 100% holtfreters can be used until symptoms improve (holtfreters is used to treat others issues as well as fungus).
